6 & 6 in 2018 - January Report

6 & 6 in 2018

Six old and six new projects to be finished this year. You can read about how to join in here.

January is for new projects.  This month I started a redwork project.  I think I will make it into a wall hanging, but I'm not for sure.

You can check out who is joining in on Meredith's blog here.

The Okinawa Fishing Trip

One afternoon in Okinawa, we signed up for a fishing trip.  It was pretty fun, although I didn't want to touch the fish myself. Together, we caught six fish.

My first fish was too small to keep

Sueyoshi Park, Naha

This is a fantastic park near the Shiritsubyoin-Mae Yuirail station. Some of the trails are a bit steep, but there's no hurry to get anywhere, so you can take your time on the meandering trails.

Going to the Shrine on one of the first three days of January is a must in Japan, and lucky for us, there is a shrine here.

We bought sandwiches at Subway and apples and drinks at the grocery so we could have a picnic.  We were very surprised to see a mongoose near our lunch spot.  I love seeing "real live nature"!

This is a great place to spend an afternoon!
