Matsumoto Castle Projection Mapping

After seeing pictures online of the Matsumoto Castle Projection Mapping, I wanted to see it for myself. I took the train to Matsumoto, arriving late afternoon, with time to check into the hotel and eat dinner before walking to the castle grounds. It was snowing and much colder than where I live, but well worth standing outside to see it.

Matsumoto castle and its location as well as the moat make up a fantastic canvas for projection mapping.

The castle looks beautiful! I'm curious what happens between projections, how it changes from one to the other. It looks like a spectacular show.

That is SUPER impressive! I can see why you wanted to visit -- I would too.

Oh that's gorgeous! I love the things you can do with light projections now. Have you been to one of the teamlabs experiences yet? They are all over Japan now and the ones I've seen (Steffi has been to a couple more and shared photos) are amazing!
