I
started this one about two years ago and I was liking it. I think I last posted progress on it here. I had some
counting mistake and put it away, rather than fix it and continue. At that
time, I had seven states completed – Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,
Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. After getting it out again, I fixed the mistake with the dark red inner border and went on to work on the red, white, and blue outer border. I completed two more states - North Dakota and Washington and started the pictures and words in the upper left corner.
I hope there aren't any other counting mistakes!

Here's hoping to no more counting mistakes as well! I love maps so a stitched one is fun to watch grow. Will you use it for your English lessons when it's done? :D
Wow, a great progress.
I hope they are no more counting mistakes as well.
Greetings, Manuela
This looks awesome. Who is the designer? I'd love to see if they have maps of other countries.
Thanks! The designer is Susan Ryder and the company that made the kit is Heritage Stitchcraft. The back of the kit shows Australia and Egypt maps that look similar to the USA map.
Hi Pamela, This looks really interesting, wondering how big it is. I have a blackwork design of Great Britain in the UFO drawer, all finished but needing a frame or similar.
Hi Sheryl,
This piece is rather large - about 17 inches by 24 inches. I think it will be very expensive to frame because of the size so maybe I will make some type of wall hanging or quilted type hanging. It'll probably be a long while before I have to decide! I'll be interested in what you do with your design of Great Britain.
