The Cost of Gasoline

I don't have a car or drive in Japan, so I don't usually pay attention to how much gasoline costs, but I snapped a picture as I was walking and got to thinking about it.

Regular gasoline is 130 yen per liter.  I think that is about $4.75 (USD) per gallon. Expensive, isn't it?  How much is gasoline where you live?

We pay about 1.13euros per litre for diesel which works out to about $4.69 a gallon if my maths is correct. It does fluctuate and was a euro a litre not so long ago.

Interesting to know what the price of gas is in other countries. Our cost is governed not only by supply and demand and taxes. Some of our legislature thinks taxing gas is an fair way to tax all equally..wish MY voice made a difference. Our price in Northern Indiana USA has been bouncing daily between $2.09 and @2.29. It's like a game trying to decide what day to buy to pay the least. My warning light is on right now so I'll pay what the going rate is if I want to drive today..and cut the grass as well. :(
