My third class was a bingata tote bag at the Naha City Traditional Arts and Crafts Center. Wax covers the area you don't want the dye to cover. I used a hair dryer to dry the dye between colors.
It was a fun class. Here is my finished bag.

Your butterfly is lovely, must have been difficult with one arm in plaster. Enjoyed looking at the other course you did also. Ted is very very talented in crafts as well.
Such an interesting technique that I had never heard of before. And the result is gorgeous. Is there anything that you haven't tried craft-wise, lol? I really love to see all kinds of crafts on your blog.
