Monday Morning Star Count - Typhoon 21
This is the week of rain, leading up to Typhoon 21. Hurricanes in the US have names, typhoons in Japan have numbers and this was the 21st this year. It was classified as a category 4 typhoon. Seventy thousand people in Japan were advised to evacuate and 5,000 ordered to do so. More than 300 flights were cancelled and rail services in the south and the west were interrupted. Sunday was also election day across Japan. I don't know how much the storm affected voter turn out.

Great to see the colour changes happening. Hope the typhoon does not affect you.
Another beautiful rosette, Pamela. Beautiful hexagon colours. Your quilt will turn out ADORABLE!!! Kisses, my friend.
I did not know that names of typhoons in Japan had numbers. The 21st was very strong. I pray for the people who suffered.
Hi Pamela lovely hexies, hope you are safe my friend xx
Very easy to see how sudden the cold spell came! The blue and green add a lot of 'interest' to the overly yellow quilt.
Interesting colour change! It's looking great. So glad we don't have typhoons - hope you are OK xx
That's quite the color/temp change all the sudden. While our names are in alphy order, numbers make more sense since several years had more than the allotted names (i forget what letters they skip). Best of luck with the storm!
Great progress, your hexagons shine!
I hope all is well and my prayers too for anyone having
to evacuate.
Wow, that is a sudden change in temperatures!
A clever quilt idea which is making a charming design. I saw some photos of the storm and hope you came through safely.
Wow! What a change in color. I'll be interested to see if that trend continues or if your temps will jump back up. It gives a nice pop of color that's for sure.
xx, Carol
Completely new colours for that week.
Wow, what a change in temperature! I'm glad to hear you're alright after the typhoon, and hope it didn't cause too much damage in Japan.
