Monday Morning Star Count
I made these off and on over the last month, but without an active project, hexagons have been on the back burner. Most of these were made with Japanese fabrics.

Monday Morning Star Count
I continued making more hexagons (in the box lid on the right). Making random hexagons, with no idea what they will become, is relaxing. Maybe I will have more next week.

Monday Morning Star Count
This week’s newly made hexagons. I don’t yet have a project for them, but I am getting a good number ready for when I do.

Monday Morning Star Count
This week, I made 32 more 26 mm hexagons (see box lid below). I have this plastic tub ready to make more, and additional fabric cut. I don’t have a project in mind, but when I think of something, I will be ready.
This is good for when I have a little bit of time, but don’t want to concentrate on anything.

Monday Morning Star Count
I used a small hexagon flower to make a repair on this bag. It was the perfect size.
I also cut more scraps of fabric and made more small (16 mm) hexagons.

Monday Morning Star Count
I cut more squares of fabric, clipped them to templates to be ready to stitch up, and actually stitched some of them. So far it is just a nooks and crannies kind of thing on the back burner. When I think of what I want to make, I will be ready.

Little Friday Finishes
I added hexagons to these small towels.
Fronts and backs of ornaments and fobs. I previously stitched the designs, and finish finished them this week.

Monday Morning Star Count
I don’t have a new project in the works yet, but I want to be ready when I do think of something. I have been pressing the small pieces of fabric I have, cutting them into two and a half inch squares and clipping them to the hexagon paper templates. My plan is to stitch them into hexagons in the nooks and crannies of time I find. Then, when I do think of a project, I will already have hexagons made to choose from. It’s win-win, I will use up the small pieces of fabric and I will have hexagons already made up.

Monday Morning Star Count - Zipper Pouch Finishes
Finished! I’m pleased with how they turned out. Each zipper pouch has the 16 mm hexagons on each side, and they are totally stitched by hand. I did not have a pattern, but I used another pouch I made as size guidance.

What do you think?

Little zipper pouches progress - all of the stitching is by hand. It would be quicker by machine, but I am enjoying the slow hand stitching. There are hexagons on both sides.

Monday Morning Star Count
I have an idea for a new project, using the smaller size (16mm) hexagons. I went through my fabric crumbs and cut some fabric to get started. We’ll see how it goes.
