Good progress!
The Kogin is impressive - just white running stitch on navy blue, yet so striking.
Skip the butterfly and complete the pocket before starting on the purse, that is what I would do if I were you.
No need for a butterfly you don't like!
Pansies don't need no stinking butterfly, lol. Gosh your Kogin is amazing.

If you don't like stitching there butterfly, just don't stitch it. Pansies look great without butterflies :)))
Nice progress! I, too, am better ad starting than finishing.
