Maneki-neko Pouch
The Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) is a common Japanese lucky charm. The figurine depicts a cat beckoning with an upright paw, although to westerners it appears to be waving. In Japan, you gesture come here with palm (or paw) down.
I made this little phone pouch as a gift. It has tombo (dragonfly) lining fabric. I hope it is lucky for the recipient.

That is such cute fabric; your friend will love it! I have a tiny pink manekineko with both paws raised (very similar to this one) I keep near the front door to bring in luck and prosperity.
Very sweet!
You've reminded me that somewhere (possibly still packed in a box from two house-moves) I have a battery-operated maneki-neko. I haven't seen it for a at least three years. I'll have to look for it now.
I hope the cats will scoop in lots of luck for you.

Lovely finish and the fabric is very cute.
Interesting information about the cat image in the fabric. I like the bag a lot.
I have not been ignoring your posts, I have been in the Land of The Almost Dead this week. There is a bad virus going around the USA right now!
