Another Crazy Crime Story
I never get tired of the crazy crime cases that make the national news here.
So, here's what happened. At 4 am on the 8th of September in Ishigaki City, a completely naked man walked into a convenience store and bought a pair of underwear and put them on. (Convenience stores really are convenient!) After that, he walked to a nearby bicycle parking lot and stole a scooter and a helmet.
About half an hour later, he retured to the same convenience store, wearing the new underwear and riding the stolen scooter. The police arrested him for driving under the influence. In Japan, drivers cannot legally have any alcohol when driving.
This same man was arrested again on September 20th for public nudity and theft. He denies both charges, claiming he doesn't remember because he was drunk.
What I want to know is, where did he keep the money he used to buy the new underwear?

Only in Japan, eh?
I guess he had the money in his 'extended hand', i.e. his smartphone, using Pay-Pay or a similar payment method. People can never be as naked as when they are without their mobile phones.
Hello Pamela: As you know it has been very sad here with Mikes illness, I needed a belly laugh this did the trick, thank-you for sharing.
Catherine
Thank you for making me laugh, this is so funny.
As Qneeni says, even though he was completely naked, he was in possession of a smartphone, and it is highly that she was making payments using electronic money.
Apparently he has a habit of getting naked when he drinks alcohol.
Super annoying.😡
For example.
Imagine drinking alcohol, completely naked, and with a 1000 yen bill taped somewhere on your body.
In that case, I think it would be extremely unpleasant for a store clerk to remove a 1000 bill from a naked man’s body in order to make him pay for the pants.😱
So I hope he paid with his smartphone.
I find it interesting that he got naked, but then was self concious enough to realize he should probably cover up - yet not enough to not steal that scooter! Drunk people are strange.
