Suijinja in Springtime

Don’t you love seeing cherry blossoms at the shrines? I saw this when I was out for a walk.

Yes indeed, it's a lovely sight.
I like the expression 'the coming of summer' when they change clothes. It could be said about a tree as it changes from naked bare branches to pink elegance with the cherry flowers, to the green freshness of new leaves, to the darker green of humid summer to the rust colours of autumnal leaves, and maybe to the white of snow on the branches in winter.

Hi Pamela: Love the cherry blossoms, so lovely, the explanation of the Shrine is interesting to me, it is so amazing how they have kept track through the years.

Such pretty flowers! Maybe I'd go our for walks more often if we had these around here.
