Daidogei World Cup 2026

Daidogei is an annual international performance festival held at several venues in Shizuoka City. The largest venue is Sumpu Castle Park. It was first held in 1992, and in 2025 there were over 1 million visitors over the four day festival.

I’ve attended this festival many times. This year I attended on Sunday, the second of the four days, which was a weekend day and the best day of the weather forecast. It was crowded and attendees were from all over the world.

This area was for people to try out plate spinning and other tricks.

I did not want to get closer to the stages because of the crowds.

This juggler was my favorite.

It was a pretty day and a lot of people were out enjoying the festival.

There must have been a lot of performers to see and activities to take part in.
I visited Ueno Park yesterday. The weather was sunny and balmy. We saw several street performers. All great fun.
