Hot baths are wo derful aren't they, we have them in NZ too, there is a free one in the park in Rotorua for feet soaking. Have not found any here in Aus yet. You had some beautiful views.
Sounds heavenly, I would have loved this.
Hi Pamela wow these look amazing i have never had or been to a hot bath, they look like fun places to go to xx
Uramigataki onsen looks beautiful. I think I could enjoy have a soak there while looking out at the view!
What a beautiful view of the ocean. Hot baths are revitalizing.Scoot over I'm in!
I think I have to know more about them. In all, I don't think it appeals to me. Unless it's private. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to navigate the one with the stair entry. I agree there are wonderful views.xx, Carol
Oh what memories you bring back. I remember the first onsen I set foot in, how hot it was. It was at a ryokan and outside and it was VERY winter (Yamagata, February). And yet I was so warm. The other was in the mountains of Shiga. Well, maybe not mountains. It was large / not coed. I was the only non-Asian and the youngest. A powerful experience.
Sounds blissful! xx
What a choice! I hope it rained a lot so you had reason to take a long soak at each place!
I'm looking forward to the onsens, although I'm afraid I might chicken out of actually going! Also, one of our friends has tattoos, so we'll have to do some research on where we can go.
