Togetherness

This is outside a shop I frequently pass. I don't know if this is a family or what.

They are charming.
Actually I made some research. They are Jizo, the kind of god you often see at temples with a red cap and bib.
The writer of this blog said she/he had placed a petition box at the statue and asked for a good name. The result was:「なかよしさん ほほえみ地蔵」でした which would translate as 'Three smiling good friends'.

While searching, I found that these three fellows can be seen in many mountain settings and also Hasedera in Kamakura.

Whatever it is, it attracts attention. Family is a strong guess.

Now that Jen named it a cicada family, I can't unsee that vision!
