In the picture of the entrance to the main hall, the stairs are flanked by spacious shelves for shoes. You can imagine the number of people who could, and probably do, attend services.
Many of the features look new. A zealous priest would promote growth.
The more followers, the more money, the more fame, and hence you need a website!
Nichiren is one of the main Buddhist sects, and every little temple would have the support of the HQ.
It MIGHT be important, but remember, anyone with a computer can do a website! And it's good marketing, important or not.
