Many of the features look new. A zealous priest would promote growth. The more followers, the more money, the more fame, and hence you need a website! Nichiren is one of the main Buddhist sects, and every little temple would have the support of the HQ.

It MIGHT be important, but remember, anyone with a computer can do a website! And it's good marketing, important or not.
