MySister Made Me Do It blog is hosting a pin cushion link up and I’m joining in.
The one
on the left is the one I use the most. It’s so full of pins that it’s hard to
tell that it is a cross stitch sampler. The alphabet is under all the yellow pins. I made it in 1996. The wheat pin cushion is one I made in 1997 and I think I made the bird biscornou in 2012.
This
set was from a Susan Greening Davis weekend in Myrtle Beach. She always has great projects for her
get-aways.
This is
a little mattress pin cushion in a fold over that also holds scissors, needles,
and a tape measure.
These
aren’t “cushions”, but hold pins so I consider them as the same thing as pin
cushions. I think they are even better
than pin cushions because they are compact and can easily be carried along without getting stuck with the pins. My favorite is the heart, made in 1996.
Join in
or just take a look at the other pin cushions in the parade here.

Lovely, they are so original and personal, just like quilters!
Wow these are gorgeous......all such beautiful work with the hand stitiching and detail.......and how clever are the flat "cushions"!!....Do they have a hard piece of cardboard to keep them flat on the bottom and so the pins stick in sideways like that? I think I might have to try to make one of those........thank you so much for joining the parade!
What a great collection! You can never have too many pin cushions.
They are All so pretty Pamela! You have quite a talent with cross stitching! I'm curious about your flat pincushions too. It's a great idea and I wondered what you use for filling and backing.
Gorgeous pin cushions - the flat ones are a great idea!
Now this is fun, I do love a good pincushion, great collection! I'll have to share some of mine.
Those are beautiful and have such pretty stitching on them. Thanks for sharing them with us.
