Sapporo Science Center and Planetarium

One of my English students invited me to accompany her to the Sapporo Science Centerand Planetarium and we agreed to meet at the train station on Sunday and travel to Sapporo together.  With three floors and about 200 hands on exhibits, plus the planetarium, we had a very interesting time.

We took a break mid-day and went out to lunch.  Both of us ordered the cold soba and tempura setto.

One of my favorite exhibits was the astronaut exhibit with Velcro tabs on the items taken to the space station, including make-up.  Who knew astronauts needed to wear make-up?

It was a very interesting and enjoyable day.  Thank you, Miyu!

Looks like you had fun with Miyu, tasty lunch and make-up for astronauts? I never thought of that.

Wow Pamela there was so much to see! Velcro always reminds me of my husbands declaration that it's one of the best inventions ever, especially for baby clothes!

Hi Pam. This would be a very interesting day. I didn't think Japan was involved in space travel so I was surprised to read this post. Duh me!!
