Wow, this is so beautiful! I love the colors and patterns, especially the little cat in the middle!
Have you got a design wall or sheet of flannel where you can lay out the designs? Sooner of later you will need the cutting mat for other things.

Probably would be a good idea to pin the hexagons to a sheet or towel, or something similar, because, as Queenie says, you are bound to want to use your cutting mat before you've finished with the hexagons!
