Love the herons, are the darker birds the ones used for fishing? Lovley to have them near where you live.
Herons and cormorants are fun to watch, great opportunity for you. Some people have to travel far away to see what you can see.
We saw a lot of cormorants along the coast while we lived in Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA.
I would spend a lot of time watching those birds. The turtle is a bonus!

It's nice to have wildlife almost on your doorstep.
I envy you a little for living so close to a waterway. I love the soothing sounds and the animals that come with it!
