Tomorrow is a national holiday in Japan - Umi no Hi, or Sea Day. It is celebrated on the third Monday in July and is roughly around the time that the rainy season ends. The purpose of this holiday to give thanks for the ocean and what comes from it and to think about the importance of the ocean to the island nation.
I have the day off work tomorrow so maybe I'll talk a walk to the beach. This is what it looks like where I live (winter photo).

It will be a hot day, so the nearness to the ocean and a dip in the waves would be wonderful. I'll be stuck indoors!

I would love to have a national holiday to acknowledge things like that. What a wonderful idea.
I'd rather walk along a beach in winter than in summer. But none of our beaches have a view like that! Enjoy your day off.

What a fabulous view you have. This sounds like a good holiday to think about nature. Do people still use it this way or are they more like Americans?

I really love Japan's holidays, they seem so much more down to earth (or sea!) then the ones we celebrate.
