Prefectural Personality Survey

I think the Japanese love to rank things.  The latest ranking came from a survey done by online portal J-Town Net.  The survey was to find out readers' thoughts on which prefectures have people with the best personalities. Here are the results of the 3,836 responses.

Very interesting! I live in Shizuoka now and used to live in Hokkaido, which are numbers 3 and 1.  I have to say, the people I know in these places deserve this ranking.  If you live in Japan or you've been to Japan or know people from Japan, do you agree?

Hm, I would put Oita and Saga prefectures FAR higher up on the list, in fact I would put all of Kyushu near the top.

Most of our Japanese friends are in Shiga -- I'm glad they fared quite well!

I don't know enough Japanese people to have an informed opinion on the matter, but it seems like such a strange thing to vote on! For me, everyone I met seemed very nice.
