More stitching on fabric leftovers, to be finish finished later. I plan to put felt on the back of the bookmarks and make the kogin diamonds into buttons or pins.

Work In Progress Wednesday

Bookmark - I had a scrap of canvas and wanted to make a bookmark, using a freebie pattern from the Design DIY Blog Suzi.  Unfortunately, the thread I chose for the leaves is too close to the color of the background. I will either outline the leaves, or pick out the leaves and change colors.

Zipper Pouch progress - just a little progress. The pieces are small and I’m trying to keep it accurate.

Small Friday Finish - Bookmark

I backed this with some tan fabric and sent it off to an elderly friend, who no longer stitches, but is still a stitcher at heart.

Work In Progress Wednesday - A Few Little Things

This week I started a new project.  I received some stitchy gifts and couldn't resist starting this bookmark.

I've also been working on the fobs.  I use small bits of leftover fabric from other projects and some varigated threads.  I could begin the beading and finishing but I keep working on more of the bodies.

Stitching for Literacy

Nikki at Stitch Bitch is posting 31 stitching finishes this month for Craft Month.  She is giving lots of links for ideas and tutorials, as well as showing her own finishes.  A couple of days ago, she posted about a project in Alaska called Stitching for Literacy (read the post here), with a link to bookmark finishing. I think promoting literacy is a great cause, so I made a bookmark and will put it in the mail tomorrow. (In case you are wondering, the bookmark says "My Book" in crayon letters.)

The snow is beginning to melt in Hokkaido.  Here's what the nearby shrine looked like when I was out walking yesterday.
