6 & 6 in 2018 - October
This is the month for reporting on old projects.
I finished the twelve pears last month, but that was the month for new projects, so here they are this month.
I also made some progress on my kogin project.

Friday Finish - Twelve Pears
I finished the final two, making twelve in total. Yay! I like them.
The sampler pears are free charts at Samplers and Santas.

Work In Progress Wednesday - More Kogin and Pears
This week I've continued to work on the Kogin and Pears, which are two of my 6 & 6 in 2018 projects.
I put a few more rows. This is not so difficult to carry along and work while waiting somewhere. It is a repeating pattern so I can look at what is already stitched to see what to do next.
I finished another pear, have the next ready to stitch, and have a third basted.
I'm pleased with my progress this week.

Work In Progress Wednesday - A Little Stitching
I haven't had time to do much in the way of stitching this week, but I did do a little. I made up two more butterfly kimono bags, but they still need the casing for the drawstring and the drawstring.
I've also been working on my Kogin project, which is one of my 6 & 6 in 2018 projects.

6 & 6 in 2018 - July Report
This is the month to report on a new project. I started and finished a bag using the sleeve of a silk kimono and old handkerchief. I finished the ends of the drawstrings with little buttons I made from the same kimono piece.
I have already started unpicking the sleeve of another kimono to make a second bag. Stay tuned...

This month I worked on finishing the Sampler Pears. I finished four, using the same backing fabric on all of them.

Work in Progress Wednesday
Progress on the Christmas Assissi, slow but progress.
I finish-finished the first of the 12 pears. They've been stitched for quite a while. They are one of my 6 & 6 in 2018 projects so I would really like to finish all of them.
I worked on the afghan, then realized the section I stitched in pink should have been white. At first I thought "how did I do that?", then looked at the symbols. The symbol for white was a little heart and the symbol for pink was a little white square. Doesn't it seem like the heart would be the pink? I put it aside until sometime when I feel like unstitching.
The dorset buttons were more fun. The one on top is the one I showed last Friday. The next three were also made with #5 perle cotton. The two with red and yellow are made with #8 perle. These are really fun - if you haven't tried making dorset buttons, you really need to!

6 & 6 in 2018 - May Report
This is the month to show a new project. I started and finished a little pre-made bag with a yellow and orange cross stitch butterfly.
I'm doing well with starting new projects, but not with finishing the old ones!

Work in Progress Wednesday - New Start and Apron Progress
I started a new cross stitch project - a yellow and orange butterfly on a black, prefinished bag.
I also worked on the skirt part of the apron. I used a different chicken scratch pattern for the apron than the table runner.

This week I spent quite a bit of my stitching time on the kogin project.
Hard to tell, I know. Take my word for it, progress is being made.

Work in Progress Wednesday - Spring Holiday
Today is a national holiday in Japan - Spring Equinox Day. Does your country celebrate the first day of spring with a national holiday? I'm off on another big adventure, but will be back to tell you about it soon!
This week I have continued working on the cross stitch baby afghan and have made some progress, but not as much as I'd like. I really want to finish this this month, as it is one of my new 6&6 in 2018 projects, plus it is good to give a baby present when the baby is still a baby.

Work In Progress Wednesday - Pink Afghan
All this week, I've been working on the pink cross stitch baby afghan. This is one of my six new projects for 6 & 6 in 2018. It is white thread on pale pink fabric and doesn't show up well in the photos.

6 & 6 in 2018 - February Report and WIPW
This month for 6 & 6, I didn't do much! I worked on my Kogin bag a little, after I had to unstitch a little when I miscounted. You can check out who is joining in on Meredith's blog here.
As far as Work In Progress Wednesday, not a lot to show there either. I started a new cross stitch project and put in a few more stitches on the redwork.
Maybe I'll have more to show next time.
