Emergency Day

September 9th is Kyukyu no Hi or Emergency Day. KyuKyu or double nine is the Japanese word for emergency. It is the day to be extra cautious and grateful for the health services we have in Japan.

Sounds nice. As far as I know we don't have an Emergency Day in Israel to mark the activity of emergency factors, and to remind us all to be cautious.

Always good to be reminded, the emergency people do such good work.

I'm pretty sure we don't have an emergency day. Every now and then a community might try to do something but it's not a requirement.

Is that another word play on the sound an ambulance makes? I love how the Japanese have a special day for everything..
