Free Coronavirus Vaccinations in Japan Next Year
It was announced last week that members of the public in Japan will be given the coronavirus vaccine for free, according to a health ministry policy in a bid to curb serious and fatal cases of infection.
The Japanese government is trying to secure enough vaccines by mid 2021 to administer to all, having earmarked a budget of 671.4 billion yen. The government has agreed with British drugmaker AstraZeneca Plc and US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. to receive 120 million doses of vaccine from each company when successfully developed, as well as negotiating with US firm Moderna Inc. for 40 million or more doses.
In addition, if a vaccination causes serious side effects, the Health, Labor, and Welfare Ministry plans to have the state, not the companies, redress patients and pay damages through a law revision at an extraordinary government session later this month.

There are many different versions of how and when the vaccine will be become available here in Australia. "Won't believe any of it until we see it". When and if it does, our PM said it will be shared with other countries. Still in Stage 4 lockdown.....

No idea when a vaccine will be available for us, sometimes y9u hear soonish other times it is years away.
I haven't read the Swedish newspapers with such great care that I know, but my impression is that they still want the population to get 'flock immunity'. I'd say it is a kind of natural vaccine, and free of charge, too!
This is great news for you and others in Japan. Sadly we in the USA can't believe anything this administration says and I seriously doubt there are any negotiations going on unless a friend of trump owns the company.
I'm pretty sure the vaccination will be covered by public healthcare in Germany, as all vaccinations are.
