Winter is over

I’m pretty sure winter is over.  It hasn’t been snowing and the snow on the ground is melting. As the snow melts, I’m seeing things I hadn’t seen since I’ve been here, like the building fronts. Who knew these places even had windows?

The snow covered the trees and now that it’s melting the damage is revealed.

This building is the community center where I take Japanese.  The path I walk on used to have snow over my head on each side of the path.  Now it’s only hip high.

The snow is melting and filling the streams.

The daytime temperatures are getting warmer.  All of those things are circumstantial evidence of spring.  This is how I really know winter is over.
