Earthquake
and Typhoon
Last
night, Ted’s phone started talking (in Japanese, of course), saying Jishin desu, jishin desu, over and over.
It was warning us of an earthquake.
There was an earthquake in Hokkaido, but we weren’t affected.
Super
Typhoon Neoguri has hit Okinawa and is working its way north. It is described
as a once in decades storm, with wind up to 250 km per hour. Two to four typhoons
a year hit land in Japan, but it is unusual for it to happen in July. Neoguri
is expected to hit Kyushu Thursday morning, before traveling across
Honshu. Hokkaido is expected to get hit
by a much reduced storm on Saturday. We will be paying close attention to the
weather this week.

Very beautiful work on this table cloth. You work on so many lovely projects. I hope you are not badly affected by the weather.

The design on your cross stitch is growing beautifully.
Stay safe in the storm!
Lovely progress. I like the pattern.
Greetings, Manuela
Is this your first experience with a typhoon?
I heard the news of the typhoon on the radio this morning and thought of you. I couldn't remember which island you lived on, but I was pretty sure it wasn't Okinawa. I hope it dies down considerably before it hits you, stay safe.
It is looking lovely–very delicate work!
Beautiful work and any work is better than no work however small it may be
