Blackwork Fish Progress
I’ve
completed a little more since returning from Okinawa. There is something
soothing about the repetitiveness in blackwork.

The effect is great! Is that a kit?
I really love this. Is this a pattern that you made up yourself. What are you stitching it on. Is there a place to get the patterns for inside the fish?
It's not a kit. The pattern came from a Leisure Arts booklet called Blackwork by Marion Scoular.
I didn't make it up. The pattern came from Blackwork by Marion Scoular. These three patterns and many other blackwork patterns are in this little booklet that originally sold for $2.00. The fabric is a really old piece of aida 14. I think these fabric squares were originally sold to make pillows.
What a lovely piece. You are making good progress.
very pretty
Beautiful work.
Greetings, Manuela
Hi Pamela - wow I do love your Blackwork - I've always admired the look of it but never given it a go for myself...
