Sapporo TV Tower

We had wanted to visit the Tower, which overlooks Odori Park in Sapporo, for a long time, but for one reason or another, just hadn’t done it.  Last week after Japanese class, the weather was nice, so we decided the time was right.  We had a 10% off coupon, so the regular cost of 720 was discounted to 640 yen.

The observation floor is 90.38 meters from the ground.  The digital clock with LED display is 9.5 meters wide and 5.48 meters tall, with numbers that are 4 meters tall.

From the top we had a nice view of the city and beyond.

Afterwards, we had dinner on the third level of the tower, in a restaurant called New Sanko. Ted had a seafood dish and I had pizza. Even from this level we had a nice view.

What will we do next time in Sapporo?

It is a good idea to see a place from a high tower; you get a much better idea of the size and structure of the city. I am sure you will find new adventures in Sapporo.
