Shirt Making at Shuri Ryusen

I found Shuri Ryusen last year and made a shirt for Ted.  He wore it on this trip.  It is located very close to Shuri Castle and easy to find.  I highly recommend going there!

We each made shirts this time and had a fun time doing it.  After tying the shirt to a piece of coral with a rubber band, you rub dye across it. There are many coral pieces to choose from, plus a few other things, like fish shapes and shisha shapes.

Here is my shirt.

That looks like fun! I like the idea of making your own souvenir of a place rather than buying a mass-produced t-shirt.

This shirts look like a lot of fun to make. And how extra-fun that Ted wore his shirt for the trip! Did someone comment on it?
