Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival 2018 - Part 3 'Little Women'

Another of the special exhibits was Little Women, Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House. This exhibit featured the works of Reiko Washizawa, Kathy Nakajima, Suzuko Koseki, and Yoko Saito. The many details in the house and garden were amazing!

This was one of my favorite books when I was young and I loved seeing how it was brought to life at the quilt festival!

What a treat to be able to see that beautiful work, in real life.
The hosta leaves are amazing with the blue snail and all those
birds and cherries on the tree. Amazing detail.

It was indeed an impressive display based on the book. They put so much work into these 'literary quilting' homes.

Wow, it's really amazing what some people can do with just fabric and thread! Those 'paintings' are amazing, but I think the quilted plants are my favourites from this section.
