I haven't seen any dance entertainment at quilt shows in Australia either!
It is nice to have a stage as there is a natural area to have seats. At a show one really needs to sit down for a while, to rest one's feet and sort one's impressions. I can do without the performance but the chance to sit down for a while is good...
When we can't take photos the impressions of what we see don't last so long. I know Alison Aller and Jane Sassaman's work from books, but now after the show, I can not recall what of their work I saw...
Thank you for a very thorough report of the show, and a good collection of photos of the quilts. I am also impressed by the quality of the photographs (I saw your little point-and-shoot camera).
I would like to see this blue quilt with my own eyes.
I've never heard of entertainment at a quilt show!
Shame we can't see them, but in your opinion - are the quilts very different from different countries? Could you easily tell which country a quilt comes from?
