Friday Finish - Mt. Fuji Pouch

This finish is a result of my summer one thread a week challenge. It is totally sewn by hand. I have to say I am quite pleased with this finish!

I bought this as a kit at a small quilt shop in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka. It was a kit from the shop and was not a commercial kit. Everything except the thread was included in the kit and the cost was 3200 yen. The directions were written in Japanese and assumed the stitcher had some sewing experience. Here is the info at the bottom of the instruction page.

A nice finish, and all done by hand. The motif has a special meaning to you.

Hawaiian quilting and Cathy Nakajima-inspired quilts seem popular.

Congratulations for the completion. Mt.Fuji on the outside and the fabric on the inside are cute too.
All hand stitched is great.

You stitched that beautifully, it looks great! Do you know what you're going to use it for?
