Iruka Beach

Iruka (dolphin) Beach is a nice family oriented beach area in Kawana Shizuoka. People arrive at the beach early and stake out their areas with tents and beach toys.

The long stone area on the left is the fishing pier.

These fisherman look serious.

Looking back toward the beach from the fishing area.

There is a separate area for snorkeling.

Summer seems to last longer each year.

So do you know if dolphins are a common sighting there, or it is just in the name? Either way it looks like a lovely area for a walk or some wet fun!
