I was surprised to read the plans for this biscornu - using plain fabric instead of counted thread fabric sounded strange. Then I thought better of it - the tightly woven material would keep the needles in good check. There would not be the risk of them sinking out of sight through the loose weave of counted thread fabric.
So, this looks much better than I first thought it would. I love the additional embroidery you have included.
I hadn't seen biscornu made out of non-counted fabrics yet either. Yours looks really cute!
