Friday Finish - Biscornu Challenge
My friend sent me this biscornu challenge kit. Previously, I had only made biscornu with counted thread fabrics, so this was a challenge. I started by tracing a square on each of the two squares and stitching over the lines with a chain stitch. Except for the stuffing, I used only the items in the kit. I did a small amount of decorative stitching and the chain stitch with the skein of J&P Coates six strand floss (24-A Oriental Blue) that came with it and added the assortment of beads in the kit to the corners.
It was a fun little challenge.

I was surprised to read the plans for this biscornu - using plain fabric instead of counted thread fabric sounded strange. Then I thought better of it - the tightly woven material would keep the needles in good check. There would not be the risk of them sinking out of sight through the loose weave of counted thread fabric.
So, this looks much better than I first thought it would. I love the additional embroidery you have included.
