World’s Smallest Park

On February 25, 2025, Guinness World Records recognized this Japanese Park in the town of Nagaizumi, Shizuoka Prefecture as the world’s smallest. The park measures just 0.24 square meters. The town has unofficially called this park the world’s smallest, and now Guinness has made it official, after a recent land survey led to the official recognition.

Well, it's not a park to kick a football in!

It's cute, but now I wonder what the Guinness criteria are for something to be called a park!

I just looked it up -
Guinness World Record verification
To be officially recognized as a park, the space had to meet Guinness’ criteria of being a green area where at least one person can rest and relax.

The squarish stone is a seat and there is some greenery.
