I’m
sure you’ve heard that Santa Claus delivers toys to good girls and boys all
over the world on Christmas Eve. My
students tell me this is not true. Santa
has never brought them toys. I told
them maybe you haven’t been good girls and boys; Santa knows these things. No, they all insisted they had been very good
girls and boys. Their homework
assignment for next week is to write a letter to Santa, telling him how they
had been good this year (past tense) and what gifts they would like to receive
and why. I can hardly wait to read these
letters!
Here is
a photo of the women in my hula group at a performance this year. Hard
to believe they live in snowy Hokkaido and not Hawaii!

I'd be interested to read those letters to Santa too!
