I don’t
think I have the hang of this one. Mine looks like some messy knots instead of
a nice line of wrapped coral stitches. A few weeks ago the TAST stitch was the
coral stitch and you can see my sample of it here.

The Scroll and the Wrapped Coral stitches are quite similar but the latter has a much higher bump. I have only taken a few stitches yet, but I agree, it is a bit tricky to get even. Worked very tightly together, like in your first example, you get a braided look.
I thought I copied the name of the stitch from Pintangle, but must have written it wrong. I corrected scroll to coral. Thanks!
