Monday Morning Star Count - Quilting in the Ditch and Placemats

I’m quilting along the seam lines of the hexagons.  I think my uneven stitches will be less noticeable on the top that way.  My plan is to stitch one length of thread each day.  So far, so good.

I had a few hexagon flowers left over from the quilt.  I stitched two flowers to two placemats from the hyaku en store. They make a nice, inexpensive addition to our table.

Your quilting is looking good. How long is a length of thread? Good idea to use the left over hexagons to beautify the plain placemats.

Looks wonderful. But stitching in the ditch is hard work with hand.
Great idea with the left over Hexies

Good idea to have a daily goal. Must try that myself...

It's great to have a plan for the quilting. No matter how long it takes, it's a very therapeutic activity and I hope you are enjoying the slow pace. It will be worth it.

I love your "one length of thread per day goal"... what a great idea for the quilting part.

Thanks. I'm not sure about the length of the thread - maybe about two feet?
