Kinryo-no-Sato Sake Museum

Sake is referred to as the national beverage in Japan.  I've tried it and don't care for it, but I did want to visit the sake museum before leaving Kagawa.

After the tour, I was offered two types of citrus flavored sake to taste.  I was very surprised that they were both delicious!  I ended up buying a bottle of yuzu flavored sake to take home.

There's a green apple flavored sake I found in the US that I *love* but don't tend to care for them in general. Guess you just have to find the right flavor(s)! :)

These kinds of flavoured rice wines are a new invention. Maybe to be able to export or reach customers who normally don't care for the taste of the traditional brew.

How fun!..Hope you are settling in to your new environment. My husband introduced me to Sake many years ago and nope, didn't like it at all, but I loved the decanter it came in, which was a gorgeous porcelain Kabuki dancer.
