I forgot about ichi! Once we had baby birds -- and I named them (and I think I have this right but it's been a LONG TIME) -- Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go. Is that close?
Strawberry day! Good excuse to have strawberries on my ice cream.
It is a good day to eat strawberries on, but this year they are SO dear. Meny plantations were totally destroyed in the autumn's devastating floods. The farmers say it will take at least a year until there is another crop.
Isn’t it strange how words are formed!

I'll have to tell my friend about this as she is allergic to strawberries, they bring her out in an itchy rash.
Too bad there aren't a lot of real strawberries around this time of year!
