Namba Yasaka Shrine
One of my stitching friends told me about this place, and of course, I wanted to see it for myself!
Namba Yasaka Shrine is located in Naniwa-ku, Osaka City. The most famous feature of the shrine is the large open-mouth Lion Hall. The Lion's mouth swallows evil spirits.
I looked around the rest of the shrine grounds,
but the Lion's mouth was the interesting part. The head is 12 meters high, 11 meters wide, and 10 meters deep. It is used as a stage for Kagura (shinto music and dance) Shishimai (lion dance), and Iaido (Japanese martial art).
Would you like to visit this place, or is it just me?

I share your interest in Japanese castles but have no ability to travel there - so thank you gratefully for sharing your visits! I'd love to see this lion's gate in person.

I would definitely like to go there next time I have a chance to go to Osaka.
