People's Choice - Travel
Every month, on the first Saturday, Jo at Serendipidous Stitching hosts a Stitch A Long, with the topics chosen by her readers. This month's topic is Travel.
I have stitched two maps of the US.
In Fall 2019, I took a stitching cruise on the Mediterranean Sea with Sandy Arthur. The needlepoint bracelet and ornaments were projects representing places on this trip.
This still unfinished Sardinian Filet piece was a class that a few of us from the cruise took when we were in Sardinia.
Thank you Jo for hosting this link up!

Friday Finish - Kogin Brooches
I made the kogin pieces I stitched earlier in the week into little brooches. Here they are front and back.
I bought this kit of pin making pieces at a stitching store in Shizuoka City some time back. It was a little fiddly putting the pins together because the kogin fabric was so thick, but I am pleased with how they turned out.

Culture Day 文化の日
Today is the Japanese national holiday, Culture Day, or Bunka no Hi. This holiday has been celebrated every year on November 3rd since 1948 to promote culture, the arts, and academic endeavors. November 3rd was the birthday of the late Emperor Meiji. Various events are held, including art exhibits, parades, and ceremonies. Many museums offer special exhibitions and free admission on Culture Day.
A highlight of this holiday is the Order of Culture Award Ceremony, which celebrates public figures who have made a significant contribution to various disciplines including art, literature, sports, science, and technology. The award recipients are personally greeted and presented with certificates by the Emperor in a formal ceremony at the Imperial Palace. Most recipients are Japanese citizens, but some foreigners have been awarded in the past, for example, the Apollo 11 astronauts.

Work In Progress Wednesday
New Kogin project
Fob progress - I chain stitched around four sets and started the fifth. The chain stitching is how the front and the back are connected.

Little Toolie Tuesday - My Favorite Set
This is the set I carry everywhere. It holds everything I need and opens up to show all the pockets where everything fits. I loved making it and I love looking at it.
