I know,
I know, the quilt is only ½ done, but completing the top is an accomplishment
for me. I've been working on this consistently for about ten months. It measures about 73”x82”. Now,
I need to buy batting, put together a backing piece, and make about 210
individual hexagons for the backside edging.
After hand piecing my hexagon quilt, I’m planning to hand quilt it.
I’m
linking up with Jessica at Life Under Quilts.

Now my fingers are itching for starting a new hexies quilt :)). Thanks for the inspiration...

Well done! You have reached a milestone!
Go easy on the hand quilting, there are a lot of folds on the back and it will take a lot of effort to work through all those layers. Trust me, I know!
looks great!!
Congratulation.
Your hexagon-top looks great.
Greetings, Manuela

oh wow, no wonder you are pleased, there is such a lot of work there!
Congrats on your awesome finish of the top! It is gorgeous! Love all those blues...I have been so inspired by your blues that I am collecting blue fabric scraps to make my mom one using 2 inch hexagons....she loves blues as well...you should be very proud of yourself...
Amazing! I love it.

Woohoo!!! I love it! Yours is the most like the layout I'm planning so I'm thrilled to see yours turn out so well.
Wonderful quilt top. What a feeling of accomplishment it must be to have the top done even though a lot of work still remains.
Fabulous! This is just amazing!
