Work in Progress Wednesday - the Queen's Cap and Starting a Pocket

This week, I stitched the pearls and gold beads on the Queen’s cap.

I started with one of the side pockets of the hussif.

One of the things I like about this kind of stitching is that I can do whatever pops into my head, with whatever thread I put into the needle.  If I don't like it, I just add more stitching.  Sometimes, I add more stitching even when I do like it. Come back next week to see what I add....

I love that you have used a French curve ruler for the stitch outline; it is such a pleasing design. Just like you, I enjoy adding more and more stitches on projects like crazy quilting and sumptuous surface embroidery.
QEI is looking more and more regal!

The Queen is looking very much like a stitched portrait! The beads make such a difference don't they.
I will admire your crazy patchwork but will not be tempted. Perhaps I was late for class when the creative stitchery gene was handed out as although I follow instructions very well, decisions on colour, stitches etc on my own are a mountain summit too far. Hence my mattress ticking sampler bag is only progressing very very slowly!
