Needlequest - Blackwork 18 May

Here’s my progress this week.

Each letter is 28 stitches x 28 stitches.  I basted the blocks ahead of time, which has minimized the chances of miscounting, but not eliminated it all together!

Check out Sew in Love to find out more about Needlequest.

When I saw this project in the last post I did not clearly see the alphabet, but with lots of various stitches inside the letters it is obvious.
Great work!
By the way, what do you call Blackwork that is coloured?

Hi Michelle,
I tried to reply to your comment, but you are a no-reply address. I hope you check back to get this info. The name of the pattern is Blackwork Alphabet Sampler, designed by Lorraine Barniskis. I bought the pattern from Marion Scoular (Sherwood Studio) of Duluth, Georgia.

Oh, thank you, Pamela! I will check into that--I am a teacher and just seem to love those alphabet samplers...even though I always claim not to need "another one" hehehehe....this is just so different!! Thank you for mentioning that you couldn't reply to me--I am going to have to look into that...I thought it wasn't an issue...darn!! :(
