Smalls Stitch A Long 2019 - June
This month's ornament finish is a Just Nan piece. I used 32 count fabric, the called for DMC floss colors, and #15 gold beads. The backing is kimono fabric. It measures about 1 1/2 inches across.
This year's Smalls SAL is hosted by Mary at Mary's Thread.

Friday Finish - Butterfly Bag
I finished the hexagon butterfly into a bag, using kimono fabric for both the outside and the lining. I used some colorful trim for the pull ties. It is entirely hand stitched.

Stitch Group - NHK Blocks
We met Sunday to start working on our NHK Partnership Quilt Blocks, but first we had some Show and Tell. A canvas bag like the Nobeyama one above was transformed into the Assisi Seahorse bag. The inside is lined, with a pocket, with the same green fabric. Wasn't this a great idea?
Another great idea was to add some colorful chicken scratch to this black and white gingham top.
Here are two more Assisi projects.
Next we had more animal talk - a lion, a hedgehog, a polar bear, and a panda.
I'm so thankful to be a part of this group!
