Throwback Thursday

This is a look back on what I wrote about on March 18th since coming to Japan. (Click on the year to see more photos and the full post.)

2020 Last year I was working on the eyelet/rhodes bag.

2019

Year two, week 45 of the temperature quilt.

2018

Yabusame is Japanese archery while riding a horse.  I was able to see it done while visiting Odawara Castle.

2017

T was for Temari that year.

2016

I took Kendo classes in 2016.

2015

On this day, I posted about finishing Queen Elizabeth I.

2014

This was a Take A Stitch Tuesday post and that week I learned the Butterfly Chain Stitch.

2013

I was working on my blackwork peacock and I posted some progress photos.

2012

Masks - Yes! Back in 2012, when I was still very new to Japan, I noticed people wearing masks.  Who knew then that we would all be wearing and needing them when a pandemic struck years later?

I've had some incredible experiences in Japan and I enjoy looking back on my posts. I hope you do too!

Wonderful to look back on what you have done. Before the pandemic I often saw Asian people wearing masks around Melbourne, I thought how uncomfortable it would be wearing them for a long stretch of time, now I know how it feels for myself!

I certainly did enjoy look at your throwback Thursdays.
I, too, was amazed by the amount of people wearing mask. I had of course seen it in pictures, but when I started living here in 1980 it was overwhelming. I soon picked up the habit and since then have worn mask whenever I have had a cold.
I love your Elizabeth I.

I love your look-backs. I remember the wearing of masks puzzled and also inspired me back in 1999 or so when I visited. Great photos!
