When I was out for a walk, I came across this well-kept shrine near the river. I didn't see any signs or name that I could read for it. When I got home, I looked up the location on google maps and there was no name. I guess it is the lonely shrine.
The name of shrine is written on the torii.Torii is the entrance gate of shrine.It′s “Suijinja”水神社（God of water）. Probably almost people in Shimizu know the shrine.I think that there is the shrine near the river or sea. Enjoy your walking!

Use your translating tool and read about this lone shrine. The metal 'gate' structure in front of the stone gate suggest that they hang lanterns there when there is a festival. I also suspect that the modern structure behind the shrine is for storing things used for festivals. According to the blog June 14 and 15 seems to be important dates, maybe for a festival or some kind of event. Now you have to go back to explore more!

I love all these small shrines in Japan. There are so many of them!
